PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable message processing device capable of managing and operating mail addressed to a user in a unified manner whereby the message can be shared by a plurality of users according to attributes of accumulated messages. SOLUTION: The message processing device 200 carried by a user and used by being connected to different networks depending upon circumstances retains a users' list created from addressees of accumulated messages and allows users in the users' list to read the message from user agents 107a to 107n. With regard to a message to a mailing list in which the users' list is not shown in the message, a means to input mailing list users is provided separately and, by relating the inputted users' list to a mailing list address, an access is authorized to the message addressed to the mailing list.
