PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a call charging method for charging user-to-user data included in a signaling message about the call charging method for charging user agents in a next generation network for network resources used for data transfer. SOLUTION: The next generation network comprises a transport network and a call server for controlling communication sessions. The communication sessions are being controlled by using signaling messages which are exchanged between user agents via a call server. Each of the signaling messages is analyzed for determining an amount of non-signaling information comprised in each of the signaling messages and subsequently the call server processes the amount of non-signaling information for charging purposes.
