The present invention relates to a fertiliser composition, which includes a silica source and at least one, but including any combination of, a calcium source, a paramagnetic source, and an iron source. In preferred embodiments, the silica source is sea mud of a fine powder form, the calcium source is lime, the paramagnetic source is rock dust and the iron source is iron sand. The fertiliser composition has a synergistic effect which facilitates the formation of electric flux lines, and therefore the production of an energy field in the soil. Once the components for the energy field and the electrical flow are established, the ionised elements from the sea based compounds are able to move in the electrical current and, through electrolysis, attract the 'bound up' elements from the soil, thus placing nutrition from the soil into plant available form.
