The transmission between a first moving piece (1) and a second moving piece (2) comprises a guide (7) defining a first cam profile (7a), and a rigid rod type connection (4) connecting the pieces such that the distance between them is variable. The connection is displaced in a permanently guided way by the first cam profile and cooperates with a second cam profile (21a) on the second moving piece for the transmission of movement between the pieces. The two cam profiles are chosen so that the speed ratio between the two moving parts varies during the cycle.
