Motor vehicle of machine protective cover comprises at least one piece with trimmed areas (3) at surfaces needed for visibility; partial area covers for covering surface needed for visibility and formed of a material that is permeable to air, vapor, and light from the inside and resistant to ultraviolet (UV) rays and alkalis, and impermeable to water and dust from the outside and can be printed on the material being partially replaced with a transparent material; trimmed area connections between the pieces and the partial areas that can be repeatedly opened, closed, and detached; clamping profiles (15) for holding the protective cover in film contact with the object in the area of a projecting part, and which envelopes into the material of the protective cover or is fastened by Velcrofasteners; elastic tightening device for holding edges of the trimmed areas in the area of the underbody of the object (2) with cutting rails or hooks (17) arrange d elastically on the protective cover in the direction of the underbody; and a protective cover that can be opened and closed including a bar code flap, a fluid tank inlet compartment lid flap and transparent film flaps for a further region needed for visibility, headlights, or tail lights. The trimmed area connections include a bond two-sided adhesive tape or a closure (8) that is coupled with a bar and can be repeatedly opened and closed and with spacers arranged in a rear side of the partial area cover for surfaces needed for visibility; or a permanent bond to a profiled groove and a holding profile with an adhesive by using a frame (10) or separate frame parts. Parts of the object which are arranged movably over the surface needed for visibility are able to function without trouble on the surface needed for visibility or under and on the closed partial cover for surfaces needed for visibility. The freedom of movement of the movable parts between the closed partial cover for surfaces needed for visibility and the surface needed for visibility is determined by the height of spacers, of the frame, or of the separate frame parts. The trimmed areas of the protective cover are clamped or braced along the door frames of the object partially with a clamping profile (12) or an elastic tightening device at the door rabbet, and are detachably held at the entry with an entry bracket overlapping the entry in the inner floor area of the object.
