A sun visor for a crash helmet comprises a shaped and tinted plastic visor with profiled stubs each side to push into pivot mounted grips inside the helmet. The upper lower edges of the visor have different profiles; a straight profile and a profile shaped to fit over the nose. The user is able to select the fitting simply by turning the visor one way up and pressing the end stubs into the pivot mountings. The selected setting of the visor is held by simple ratchets on the grips. The design also enables the visor to be removed for cleaning or for replacement.
