The test system has a fixed volume pump (20), through which a constant through flow of the medium flowing through the consumption meter and be adjusted and measured. A control unit controls the fixed volume pump, for adjusting the through flow of the medium flowing through the consumption meter. The through flow of the medium flowing through the consumption meter is adjustable by the adjustment of the rpm or the feed of the fixed volume pump. The fixed volume pump is suitable, respectively to set at least three different through flows (Qmax,Qtren,Qmin).
