In a memory device used with a block pipeline Reed-Solomon decoder for correcting errors by decoding data received from the outside, the memory device to which the received data is written and from which data is read comprises a plurality of memories 310, 320 and 330 each having dual banks, the memories being activated by a write/read command and an enable signal, and a buffer controller 300 for applying the write/read command and the enable signal for selecting a corresponding memory, and setting a write bank pointer and a read bank pointer such that banks for writing and reading of each frame of the data are selected from different memories with a predetermined offset. |
