PRINTING MACHINE AND PRINTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing machine and a printing method which keep image quality high by sufficiently drying even if image density is not uniform in the formation of an image on the surface of a photoreceptor drum by the use of liquid toner.

SOLUTION: An electrostatic latent image is formed by electrifying the surface of the photoreceptor drum 2 and then exposing the surface of the photoreceptor drum 2. Liquid toner is supplied to the surface of the exposed photoreceptor drum 2 by electrophoretic migration, thereby developing the electrostatic latent image. Air is blown to the surface of the photoreceptor drum 2 in order to dry the liquid toner with a drying means 13. The dryness of the photoreceptor drum 2 is controlled by a dryness control means 14. The dryness control means 14 exerts control based upon a picture area rate per predetermined area of the photoreceptor drum 2.
