<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement method, with sensitivity, accuracy, convenience, and rapidness, combined together, for bringing out an immune reaction as an electrical response. <P>SOLUTION: A working electrode 1 having a lipid thin film 3 and a counter electrode 4 are provided. The counter electrode 4 is provided with an antibody 5 and a labelled antigen 6 labelled by a fat-soluble ion-conductive substance 8 joined to the antibody by an antigen-antibody reaction. The labelled antigen 6 liberated by a substitution reaction with an antigen 10 in a measured material is adsorbed by the thin film 3. The concentration of antigen in the measured material is measured by detecting a change in electrical conductivity of the thin film. Thus, sensitivity, accuracy, convenience, and rapidness are combined together, and the immune reaction can be brought out as an electrical response. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
