PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the operation for recognizing traffic information and to shorten the time for recognizing traffic information. SOLUTION: The system has an information obtaining processing means which obtains traffic information, an information judging processing means which, according to pre-registered registration roads and registration positions and the traffic information obtained by the information obtaining processing means, judges whether the obtained traffic information is the one corresponding to the registration roads and the registration positions or not, and an informing processing means which, in the case that the obtained traffic information is the one corresponding to the registration roads and the registration positions, informs the driver of the traffic information corresponding to the registration roads and the registration positions. When the obtained traffic information is the one corresponding to the registration roads and the registration positions, since the driver is informed of the traffic information the operation for recognizing traffic information is simplified, in the case of recognizing traffic information at points existing not on the map screen.
