PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a constitution for intermittent drive of a paper feed roller at a multi-paper feeding part in a paper feeder for integrally drawing out a paper cassette to the multi-paper feeding part. SOLUTION: In an intermittent driving mechanism wherein a paper cassette 13 is withdrawable to a paper loading bed 1 at a multiple paper feeding part, rotational power is not transmitted to a paper feeding gear 3 when a non- toothed part 3a of the paper feeding gear 3 coaxial with a paper feed roller feeding the paper on the paper loading bed 1 one by one is opposed to the drive gear 6, and when a flapper 4a of a solenoid 4 releases the engagement with an engaging part 3b of the paper feeding gear 3, the drive gear 6 meshes with the feed gear 3 to rotates the paper feed roller, a solenoid 4 and a drive gear 6 are provided on a feeding device frame body side.
