PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a payout method and a device for a bulk material automatically controlling each payout device so that the upper surface of bulk materials remaining in the silo is almost flattened when the bulk material is paied out. SOLUTION: In this bulk material payout method for paying out bulk materials B stored in a silo S from the silo S by a plurality of payout units 21 provided in the lower part of the silo S, a control device 25 controlling the operation of the payout unit 21 stores an operation pattern table provided with an operation pattern for paying out bulk materials B to optimally payout the bulk materials B in the silo S according to various shapes of upper surfaces. When paying out the bulk materials B, the operation pattern compatible with the upper surface shapes of the bulk materials B stored in the silo S are selected from the operation pattern table, and the payout unit 21 is controlled by the control device 25 according to the selected operation pattern.
