PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car body oscillation restraint device capable of exercising a high damping effect. SOLUTION: A hydraulic damper 28 with a variable damping force and an electromagnetic force damper 34 are attached between a car body side installation member 26 of a car body 25 of a rolling stock 21 and a bogie 23 in parallel. The hydraulic damper 28 and the electromagnetic force damper 34 share damping restraint of the car body 25, therefore, a load of the hydraulic damper 28 can be reduced, and size and weight of the members such as a pump used for the hydraulic damper 28 and oil supply and exhaust system can be reduced, resulting in attaining size and weight reduction of the whole device and improved loadability on the rolling stock 21. The damping force which becomes insufficient by only the hydraulic damper 28 for damping the car body 25 can be compensated for by the electromagnetic force damper 34, thus obtaining the high damping.
