FIELD: rolling equipment, possibly preparation of rolling rolls of quarto stands of finishing stand group of wide-strip hot rolling mills. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of removing rolls out of stand; regrinding surface of roll barrel at normalized taking-off value of surface layer determined according to mathematical dependence while taking into account two components, namely values of abrasive wear and maximally possible propagation depth of microcracking at burnout. Method provides optimal value of surface layer removal of roll. EFFECT: enhanced strength, lowered consumption of rolling rolls, enhanced quality of rolled metal due to differentiated standard values of surface layer removal at regrinding roll barrel. 2 dwg, 2 tbl, 1 ex |
