<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting information backup apparatus for automatically implementing the backup of various kinds of setting information (such as an address book) saved inside a communication terminal device without necessity for a communication terminal user to intentionally perform backup work. <P>SOLUTION: When the setting information of a communication terminal device body 1A is updated by the user while a power source charging device 1B is connected to the communication terminal device body 1A or when the power source charging device 1B is connected to the communication terminal device body 1A after the setting information of the communication terminal device body 1A is updated, information in an updating history backup part 16 is compared with information in an updating history recording part 16 of the communication terminal device body 1A by an updating history comparing part 18 and when the information is not coincident, information in a setting information recording part 10 is loaded into the setting information backup part 15.
