<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroconductive composition which can produce a fuel cell separator having isotropic characteristics by merely molding or forming with neither carbonization nor graphitization. <P>SOLUTION: The separator is obtained by molding a conductive composition comprising graphite particles in which crystallites having a mean size of 1-5 μm are oriented at random when observed under a polarization microscope, and a resin (e.g. a phenolic resin or a polyphenylene oxide resin). The mean particle diameter (D50%) of the graphite particles is 10-100 μm. The graphite particles may comprise coarse graphite particles and fine graphite particles having a mean particle diameter smaller than that of the coarse graphite particles. The weight ratio of the coarse graphite particles to the fine graphite particles is 100/0 to 40/60.
