PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device which ensures high efficiency of development and provides an image of high image quality. SOLUTION: There is provided the developing device which has: a liquid developer supply unit for supplying liquid developer containing high concentration ink; a developing roller which absorbs the liquid developer by surface tension while rotating with about a half of the developing roller soaked in the liquid developer in the liquid developer supply unit; and a photoreceptor drum which is in contact with the developing roller, transports the liquid developer absorbed in the surface of the developing roller, and develops an electrostatic latent image formed on the surface. This device enables development with a substantially 100% efficiency of development. Accordingly, an image of high image quality can be provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
