PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection apparatus for a two-wheeled vehicle, which can easily locate a failure, by which a braking force, a speedometer and a braking system of the two-wheeled vehicle can be inspected with satisfactory efficiency and which can shorten the time required for their inspection and to provide an inspection method for the two-wheeled vehicle. SOLUTION: Respective support rollers 5, 6, 22, 23 on which wheels F, R are seated are installed. A braking-force inspection means is installed in such a way that a brake is fully input, that the support rollers 6, 23 are turned by motors 18, 29 and that the braking force is calculated on the basis of results of measurements by torque measuring means 21, 32 so as to decide whether the braking force is satisfactory or not. A speedometer inspection means is installed in such a way that the support rollers 5, 6, 22, 23 are turned freely and that whether the speedometer is satisfactory or not is decided on the basis of a result of a measurement by a rotational-speed measuring means 20 when an engine of the two-wheeled vehicle is driven. A braking-system inspection means is installed to calculate speed change on the basis of the result of the measurement by the means 20 and of a rotational-speed measuring means 31 when the engine of the two-wheeled vehicle is driven, and to judge whether operations of an ABS and a CBS are satisfactory or not.
