PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner in which piping between units to an outdoor unit or connecting work to wiring between the units is done from the front face of the outdoor unit, and a space required for work on the outdoor unit side is made to the minimum. SOLUTION: At a position on the front slightly close to the center from the side end of a bottom plate of the outdoor unit, a valve plate provided with a service valve for connecting the piping between the units extending from each of indoor units is mounted partially oriented to the front so as to extend the side of a machine room with the piping between the units from the indoor units and the wiring between the units. As a result, works for the piping and the wiring to the outdoor unit installed in a deep place such as between columns are performed from the position of the front of the outdoor unit by removing an external case of the front of the machine room, and the space required for work on the side of the outdoor unit can be made to the minimum.
