PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damping force adjusting method for a friction damping device, capable of adjusting damping force with high accuracy, easily manufacturable, and allowing uniformization of connection in arrangement. SOLUTION: A sliding friction face component 8 that is an additional part other than first and second links 1, 2 is employed. As the sliding friction face component 8, two types of washers, that is, a large friction washer 8a and a small friction washer 8b are prepared to provide large sliding friction resistance and small sliding friction resistance.
