A display device includes a backlight unit, a display panel, and a controller. The backlight unit comprises a first light source substrate including a plurality of first light sources arranged in a first direction and second light source substrate including a plurality of second light sources arranged in the first direction. The display panel is spaced apart from the backlight unit in a third direction perpendicular to the first and second directions and comprising an edge portion extended along the first direction and defined along at least one side thereof and a plurality of pixels. The controller generates an edge image data corresponding to edge pixels disposed in the edge portion among the pixels, and the edge image data is generated on the basis of a first angle between the third direction and a first imaginary line connecting the edge pixels and the first light sources and a second angle between the third direction and a second imaginary line connecting the edge pixels and the second light sources. The present invention provides a display device capable of preventing a color stain from occurring.
