<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EL (electroluminescence) display device in which a light source is thin to increase a place where the EL display device can be installed, and power consumption is small. <P>SOLUTION: This EL display device has a plurality of EL body groups 5rG and 5sG provided so as to form a plurality of EL body patterns in the same area by sequentially arranging a plurality of EL bodies 5r and 5s on a transparent electrode board 4 with an interval s, and a transparent body 2 provided with the light-transmitting patterns of display contents 5r and 5s formed in accordance with each of the plurality of EL body groups 5rG and 5sG by being arranged dividedly in front of the respective EL bodies 5r and 5s forming the plurality of EL body groups 5rG and 5sG, selectively turns on an optional EL body group and selectively displays display contents corresponding to the optical EL body group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
