<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve display quality by dissolving potential unevenness of a common electrode. <P>SOLUTION: A color filter substrate is provided with color filter layers 17, 18, 19 of a plurality of colors and the common electrode 11 formed on the color filter layers 17, 18, 19. The color filter layer with at least one color out of the color filter layers 17, 18, 19 of a plurality of the colors, for example the blue color filter layer 18, is continuous and flat on a boundary 15 between a display region 14a and a picture frame region 14b.
