PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition which has sufficient moldability and exhibits self-degradation. SOLUTION: The resin composition comprises a resin (selected from various thermoplastic resins and thermosetting resins) and a photocatalyst [comprising e.g. the oxide(s), nitride(s), sulfide(s), oxynitride(s) or oxysulfide(s) of one or more metal elements such as Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo, W, Mn, Tc, Re, Fe, Co, Ni, Ru, Rh, Pd, Os, Ir, Pt, Cu, Ag, Au, Zn, Cd, Ga, In, Tl, Ge, Sn, Pb, Bi, La, and Ce] contained in the resin.
