<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a keyless entry system which is simple in authenticating operation, can improve the security of authentication, and can reduce a burden upon an individual at the time of locking/unlocking. <P>SOLUTION: The keyless entry system is comprised of a main device 3, and a portable terminal 1 functioning as a key for a lock controlled by the main device 3. The main device 3 is formed of an input/output section 31 for communicating with the portable terminal 1, a decoding section 32a for decoding biological characteristic information from the portable terminal 1, a registered data storage area 33 for storing the biological characteristic information from the user, a data collating section 32b for collating biological characteristic information transmitted from the portable terminal 1 with the biological characteristic information stored beforehand, and a control section 32c for setting/releasing the lock, based on a result of the collation. The portable terminal 1 is formed of a transmitting/receiving section 16 for communicating with the main device 3, a reading section 11 for reading the biological characteristic information, and an encoding section 15b for encoding the biological characteristic information and transmitting the same. According to the keyless entry system, communication contents exchanged between the portable terminal 1 and the main device 3 contain data which is varied at every communication. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
