PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decompression device of an engine having an improved assemblage by reducing the size of the engine and simplifying a structure. SOLUTION: In this engine 26, an opening part 55 is formed in the side part of a cylinder head 31, and detachably closed by a head cap 56 having a plurality of radiating ribs 57 formed on the inner surface thereof. A camshaft 40 for a valve system is installed on the cylinder head 31, and the decompression device 60 having a mass weight 62 is fitted to the camshaft 40. The mass weight 62 is disposed at a position not projected from the mating surface of the cylinder head 31 with the head cap 56 to a head cap 56 side. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
