PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening for maintenance, where a person in charge or equipment takes an optimum approach angle for visual observation or for operating the equipment. SOLUTION: A reactor servicing platform (38) for a reactor (10) is provided. The reactor includes a reactor pressure vessel (12), arranged inside a primary reactor storage vessel (14), and at least one fuel exchange bridge. The primary reactor storage vessel includes a fuel exchange floor (44). In one embodiment, the platform for maintenance includes a frame (40), a support structure (42), and a floor for covering the frame. The floor includes an opening (48) for maintaining a reactor that is formed in a size for achieving maintenance work to the reactor pressurized vessel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
