PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator for a torque converter wherein a cutting process is simplified, the cost is reduced, the accuracy of dimension is good, and an assembling process is simple without needing to manufacture a stator carrier, an outer race, an inner race and a one-way clutch by separate members. SOLUTION: This stator for the torque converter is provided with a metal inner race supporting member fixed to the inner circumference of the stator carrier, an inner race arranged on the inner circumference side of the inner race supporting member and fixed to an output shaft, a one-way clutch arranged between the inner race and the inner race supporting member and transmitting the rotation only to one way between the stator carrier and the inner race. The inner race supporting member is provided with an inner race supporting part extending from the side end part thereof to the inner circumference side. The one-way clutch and the inner race are held by the inner race supporting part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
