PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shackle capable of lifting up a heavy article in the vicinity of the center in the lateral direction, and surely locking a shackle shaft while the shackle shaft is rotatably supported in each straight stem part. SOLUTION: In straight stem parts 15, 16 of the shackle body 12, free end side lifting holes 20, 21 are formed at the free end parts on the other end side in the longer direction than insertion holes 18, 19 of the shackle shaft. A lock mechanism part 14 permitting insertion of the shackle shaft 13 and regulating the drawing out is installed in the straight stem parts 15, 16 so that only the move in the shaft direction of the shackle shaft 13 is regulated, and so as to be rotatably supported in the insertion holes 18, 19 of the straight stem parts 15, 16.
