摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cargo handling system and a control method therefor capable of positioning a device for conveying a container such as AGV at a predetermined position in a container yard. SOLUTION: Encoders for detecting respective traveling distances are provided on a moving type crane and AGV 10. Further, an in-yard position detection means for determining a position of the moving type crane from an output of the encoder provided on the moving type crane is provided. A conveying truck control device travels the AGV 10 toward the moving type crane based on a position information of the moving type crane determined by the in-yard position detection means and the output of the encoder provided on the AGV 10.
