<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burning container made of a titanium nitride sintered compact which is inexpensive and can be used repeatedly. <P>SOLUTION: The titanium nitride sintered compact is kept in the separable container comprising 80 wt.% or more of aluminum oxide in the total weight. By using this burning container, the titanium nitride sintered compact having a beautiful color can be obtained.
