<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an infection immunity-enhancing agent, a metabolism-accelerating agent and a preventive and improving agent for reduction in various biofuncitons, each containing a bamboo-based pyroligneous acid as a main ingredient and provide a functional food containing those. <P>SOLUTION: The agent contains the bamboo-based pyroligneous acid and/or an acidic solution of the bamboo-based pyroligneous acid obtained from the anode after electrolyzing the bamboo-based pyroligneous acid as essential ingredients and has antibacterial and/or bactericidal activities against opportunistic mixed bacteria infection. Especially, a combination of the bamboo-based pyroligneous acid and/or the acidic solution of the bamboo-based pyroligneous acid obtained after electrolyzing the bamboo-based pyroligneous acid with shea butter originated from shea tree fruits and/or their extracted, purified and fractionated composition as essential ingredients effectively expresses various effects such as infection immunity enhancement, metabolism acceleration, prevention and improvement for reduction in various biofunctions and the like owing to synergistic effect of the both ingredients. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
