<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection/transmission type liquid crystal display in which two pixel electrodes can be formed not by a photolithographic process but by a dry process. <P>SOLUTION: The reflection/transmission type liquid crystal display has a substrate 40 transmitting light, a pixel electrode for reflection 10 which is patterned in a prescribed shape on the substrate 40 and which is provided with an opening 10w and a pixel electrode for light transmission 12 which is patterned in a prescribed shape and which is brought into contact with the pixel electrode 10 and which covers the opening 10w and its peripheral part, a counter electrode 62 which is arranged opposite to the pixel electrode for reflection 10 and the pixel electrode for light transmission 12 and liquid crystal 62 which is interposed among the pixel electrode 10, the pixel electrode 12 and the counter electrode 62. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
