PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an alkoxysilane through a totally new reaction pathway by using an inexpensive and easily available compound as a starting material, capable of producing it industrially in an energy saving way and with a low environmental load, safely and stably. SOLUTION: This method for producing the alkoxysilane is characterized by performing the reaction of an inorganic compound having Si-O bond with an alcohol in the presence of an alkali metal element and/or alkaline earth metal element.
