PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting composition which can give an organic electroluminescence element emitting a red light, having high emission luminance and a high light emission efficiency, excellent in durability and can readily form an organic material layer by a wet method. SOLUTION: The light-emitting composition comprises a specific iridium complex compound and a polymeric substance having hole transportability. Preferably, the polymeric substance having hole transportability comprises a copolymer comprising 50-99 mole % of a structural unit derived from a hole transporting monomer and 1-50 mole % of a structural unit derived from an electron transporting monomer, or comprises a polymer component comprising a hole transporting polymer obtained by polymerizing a hole transporting monomer and an electron transporting polymer obtained by polymerizing an electron transporting monomer where the ratio of the hole transporting polymer to the electron transporting polymer is 50/50 to 99/1 in terms of the molar ratio of the monomers.
