PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compounding agent for a resin film, which exhibits excellent dispersibility in a resin, gives a compounded resin excellent in transparency, heat-retaining properties and anti-blocking properties and can be manufactured at a low cost. SOLUTION: The compounding agent for a resin comprises a glass powder having (1) a composition comprising 40-90 wt.% of SiO<SB>2</SB>, 1.5-55 wt.% of Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, and 0.01-2.0 wt.% of Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, (2) an elutable iron (Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>) content of at most 20 wt.% based on the whole iron content when subjected to an acid treatment at 95°C for 2 hours using 11N sulfuric acid, (3) an ignition loss (1,050°C) of at most 10 wt.% and (4) a refractive index within the range of 1.46-1.54.
