PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incinerator minimizing an unburnt substance quantity, and having a combustion improver of a simple structure, and also to provide the combustion improver suitably used for this incinerator. SOLUTION: In a primary combustion chamber 1 of the incinerator A1, a diffuser pipe 51 having a blowout port 52 for blowing out primary combustion air 61 is arranged on the combustion gas outlet side so as to be opposed to a flow of combustion gas 62 turning to an outlet opening 9. A combustion improving burner 10 for setting the blowout direction of a flame F1 in the same direction as the blowout direction of the primary combustion air 61 is attached in this diffuser pipe 51.
