<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems; it is not allowed to start printing and a printing process is interrupted when a recording paper size is carelessly changed in the image forming apparatus, and then, a complicated operation of resetting the recording paper size is forcibly required. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus capable of holding at least one of jobs in the midst of printing or in the midst of a printing standby, is provided with one or more paper feed trays for loading recording papers, a recording paper size setting means for setting the size of the recording paper in the 1st paper feed tray among the paper feed trays, a 1st paper feed tray deciding means for deciding the paper feed tray usable for printing by the job in the midst of printing or in the midst of the printing standby, and a size change propriety deciding means for deciding the propriety whether or not the recording size set by the 1st recording paper size setting means is changed, and in the case of deciding by the size change deciding means that it is not allowed to change the recording paper size, the recording size setting means is suppressed from newly setting the recording paper size. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
