<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus by which a job can efficiently be performed even when using a disposable sheet cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: In a storing means 302 provided at the disposable sheet cartridge 1008, detailed information of a sheet including at least the number of remaining sheets of sheets S stored in the sheet cartridge 1008 is stored. Then, a control part for controlling image forming operation controls the device to read the number of remaining sheets by a read and rewrite means 303 which is provided at the device body and reads/rewrites the detailed information of the sheet stored in the storing means 302 when performing a prescribed job and to perform image forming operation when the number of these read sheets is larger than the number of sheets required for finishing a prescribed job. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
