<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an optical film chip which can improve the productivity and an automatic cutting device for an optical film intermediate body which is used for the method. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises a cutting process of cutting the optical film intermediate body out of a long-sized optical film, a chip cutting process of cutting an optical film chip out of the cut optical film intermediate body, an inspecting process of inspecting the cut optical film chip, and a packing process of packing the specified number of optical film chips having been inspected. In the cutting process, the optical film intermediate body is automatically cut interlocked with the chip cutting process and in the inspecting process, optical film chips received from the chip cutting process are sequentially inspected; and a quantity detecting means automatically detect the number of optical film chips having been inspected and when the number of the optical film chips having been inspected reaches a specified number, the specified number of the optical film chips are sent to the packing process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
