PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm type gas sensor for performing desired measurement accurately without requiring periodic zero calibration or span calibration. SOLUTION: In this diaphragm type gas sensor wherein a diaphragm 3 is provided on the end of a cylindrical sensor body 1 for storing internal liquid 5, pure water is used as the internal liquid 5, and an ion-exchange resin 7 is added to the internal liquid 5, and a conductivity sensor 6 is provided inside the sensor body 1, and the gas concentration is measured based on the conductivity change of the internal liquid 5 caused by ionization of the gas passing the diaphragm 3.
