PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature detecting device that can always make accurate temperature detection with a simple constitution by suppressing temperature distribution produced in a sensor unit containing a non-contacting temperature sensor. SOLUTION: This temperature detecting device 3 which detects surface temperature of an object 1 to be heated by means of a heating source 2 is provided with the sensor unit 5 containing the non-contacting temperature sensor 4 which is arranged to face the object 1 and measures infrared rays emitted from the object 1, a mounting substrate 6 on which the sensor unit 5 is mounted, and a heat shielding means 7 which shields the heat transfer from the substrate 6 side to the sensor unit 5.
