PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing method for reducing a defect such as a depression and a dent caused in a coated film of an automobile, and imparting smooth coated appearance having excellent decorativeness. SOLUTION: The sealing method comprises sticking an adhesive tape to an adherend to be sealed, arranging a sealing article including a heat-fusible and flowable thermoset sealing material on the adhesive tape, and a step for heating the sealing article to a temperature sufficient for heat-fusion and flow, and curing the sealing article to seal the adherend. The adhesive tape has a base material for preventing the air captured between the adherend and the adhesive tape from passing through the sealing article in the sticking step. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
