PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pretreatment agent composition providing excellent levelness for the hair having various hair dyeing histories. SOLUTION: The composition containing a basic dye such as Basic Yellow 57, Basic Red 76, Basic Blue 99, Basic Brown 16, Basic Brown 17, etc., is applied to the hair before hair dyeing, allowed to stand for several minutes and washed away.
