PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to make compatible both support rigidity to a steering column and layout of a meter panel or the like. SOLUTION: The steering support structure is provided with a steering member 4 extending to the vehicle front 1 in the car width direction 3 and the steering column hanging fixed to the steering member 4 through a steering column bracket 5 having a steering column bracket upper 6 and a steering column bracket lower 7. The steering column bracket upper 6 is abutted to the approximately central part in vertical direction 10 of the steering member 4, and an extension part 12 is formed extending to the upper and the vehicle front from the abutting part 11 along the surface of the steering member 4.
