<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus equipped with a spring clutch whose output hub is prevented from being excessively rotated and reliably stopped at a specified rotating angle position. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a spring clutch 12 having an input hub gear 22 which is always rotated, an output hub 21 where the transmission of the rotation from the input hub gear is connected/ disconnected through a coil spring 20, and a stop collar 17 for covering the output hub and the coil spring. As for the spring clutch 12, a projection part 17a projecting toward the flange 21a side end of the output hub is formed on the top collar, and a recessed part 21b is formed on the outer circumferential part of the flange of the output hub. By engaging the projecting part with the recessed part, the output hub is stopped at nearly the same position as that of the stop collar when the stop collar is stopped, and the transmission of the rotation can be disconnected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
