PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for writing EDID information to a ROM 18 provided in a liquid crystal display device 12 and performing a writing operation process in succession with image inspection by using one and the same device. SOLUTION: This method comprises: a test data selection step for selecting image test data for inspecting an image on the liquid crystal display 12; a serial number reading step for reading a serial number; an E-EDID information writing step for accessing prescribed manufacturing data in E-EDID information corresponding to the image test data from an image inspection device and writing the accessed prescribed manufacturing data, the read serial number, and the present manufacturing year and week measured by a timer as E-EDID information in the ROM 18; and an image inspection step for inspecting the image on the basis of the selected image test data.
