Method for clarification of waste water with contaminants which are easy to degrade or absorb comprises feeding municipal waste water (1) to aeration basins (8, 9) and optionally post-clarification basins (10-12). Excess slurry from this process is fed to a contact basin (15) where it is used to treat the waste water with contaminants which are easy to degrade or absorb, optionally with addition of oxygen. The product is fed back to the aeration basins (8, 9) after removal of biomass. An Independent claim is included for apparatus or carrying out the method which includes a slurry concentrator (18). |
