The present invention relates to an eco-friendly coolant using starch and a method of producing the same. The eco-friendly coolant using starch of the present invention comprises 90-99% wt% of carbohydrates containing starch and 1-10 wt% of a water-soluble polymer mixture including polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), and is mixed with water in use. The coolant is manufactured by putting 90-99 wt% of carbohydrates containing starch and 1-10 wt% of a water-soluble polymer mixture including PVA into a container, indirectly heating the container through water, and stirring the liquid of the container in boiling water for 30-100 minutes. According to the present invention, the coolant has effects of: being easily produced; preventing sewer blockages as the disposed coolant decomposes in water; being harmless to the human body; and being used easily. |
